Clever......True story, In my current house the first owner put all the pvc drain pipe in himself. He used no solvent, but rather just jammed the pieces together and wiped silicone goop around any joints that leaked. Needless to say I got the place real cheap. I've replaced all his work including all the copper supply.

15 degree? Do you mean 60 degree? Not available smaller than 1 1/2 inch. It still looks like a 45 to me.
