Doesnt feel remotely like it. You build houses, which provide population, then you build some lumber mill and query for wood and stone, then you build some walls, guard towers, build soldiers to put in them, you send some out to scout and kill some random zombies for xp. Its just like a game of warcraft 3, even the units behave and talk like warcraft 3 units when you click them.
Eventually more zombies will attack, more and more, and you either make it to the deadline day, or you dont.
Not sure what happens then because i didnt make it that far, but seems like theres 4 maps to unlock that way, not overwhelming.
Its ok but I dont see why the score is so high, it looked very basic and uncreative to me, still playable though.

Oh yeah, the fact that you need power, and tesla towers or whatever its called, to extend the range of your power (to build buildings within the range), and that random outbursts of plague can turn civilians into zombies, does add some tension to the game. You have to keep expanding your base to make room for all the houses, and find more resources to strengthen your income, which will constantly expand your need for defense. There is a good balance of challenges there.
