I've tried capturing the thumb in every possible way except not pressing play on the capture bar thing, which I will try next. I will also try uploading a video that I saved in a different way too.

I can only guess, but most of your videos come from other sites. At least the filename makes it look that way. It's full of spaces and apostrophes and stuff like that. But my uploads are fine with spaces and special characters.
Do you see a blank thumbnail too? or is fries just being stupid?

Can you actually link a .gif from imgur? I couldn't do it, even though I uploaded the "wow" gif to imgur.

Never mind... I didn't wait long enough to get the direct link by opening it in a new tab.

By default, Imgur saves gifs as silent webm videos since the format is sleaker. If you copy the direct link, it will say something like:

But you can shave the V off the URL to get the old gif format.

Is there another way to get the direct link apart from right clicking the uploaded imgur image/gif? Just out of curiosity.
