Its probably for the best that his skin can't feel anything. The itchiness, oh god

my brother burnt his leg.. when he was 9 yo.. and i was 7.. we would go visit him in the burn ward regularly.. i recall at first, hearing a kid SCREAMING like they were being forced to watch a TR talk.. for a long time i thought it was some other poor sucker.. but it was my brother.. he said they would scrub (debridement) his leg daily.. awful shit to have to go through... i mean, i was just 7 and had to hear all that

Worked in a steel mill during college. Back then, safety was “optional”. I have hearing loss, but thats beside the point. I was in the blast furnace when a pour started (I was the sample taker) and back then you could jump over the slag stream to get around. Saw a guy trip over it and his arm instinctively went into it, immediately evaporating his arm up to his elbow.
