Old game soundtracks are an interest of mine as well. I am a pretty big fan of the good old nes konami soundtracks. Castlevania 3 is great. Actually that shit was golden. Capcom soundtracks were pretty amazing too Bionic Commando and Megaman 2? All day.

There are some classic nes synths in there so I can kinda literally hear what you mean. I tend to enjoy using low fidelity samples for these kinds of compositions. I feel like I'm a bit of a throwback in that way. ha
